#StayHome - Improving the time in quarantine

Open For Submission

Overview

Almost all over the world people are advised to stay at home and not to leave their own four walls. The importance is out of question. However, after weeks of isolation and abstinence from friends and family, the urge for human interaction and group activities can get the upper hand. We want to address exactly this problem and find new ways to make the currently important time at home more bearable.
To stop the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), it is important to avoid contact with other people as much as possible. Nobody knows how long the quarantine period will last. People simply do not know what to do at home anymore. The World Health Organization (WHO) actually recommends video games, due to the circumstances. With the campaign #PlayApartTogether, the WHO, together with game developers such as Activision Blizzard ("Call of Duty" and "World of Warcraft") and Riot Games ("League of Legends") as well as the streaming service Twitch, is calling on people to stay indoors and play games. Communication is particularly important to the initiators in times of spatial isolation. Together with you we want to find solutions to the following questions:
  • Which innovative ideas are there besides spending time in front of the computer, the tablet or the smartphone?
  • What ideas do you have for mankind that help making home isolation more bearable?
  • What can people do at home to avoid the urge to go outside, or even to have to go outside?

Do you already have interesting solutions to one or even more of our questions? Then we look forward to your creative ideas!
